About Us
TopAero, Sorbonne Université's student body for aerospace and aeronautical engineering (Association Étudiante pour l’Aéronautique et l’Aérospatiale de Sorbonne Université) was founded in 2018 by three passionate students. Made with the view to allow students of all levels to develop concrete knowledge through participating in an array of engineering projects to choose from, which are unfortunately missing in a lot of university courses.
Our Projects
Our teams are currently working on 7 different projects, three of which are supervised by Planète Sciences. Three others are linked to a project named PERSEUS by another association named CNES.
Our Finished Projects

NEWT Our CanSat NEWT (Nifty Exoplanet Watching Tool) is an atmospheric probe that carried out three missions between its release and its recovery: the measurement of atmospheric data, their transmission by telemetry, and solar recharging. Indeed, NEWT had to ensure the energy autonomy of the sensors that transmit the data remotely. This was made possible through the deployment of solar panels.
